Paul Canetti is a born performer. He started writing music at the age of seven, and singing even before that. Growing up listening to mostly the Beatles and Michael Jackson as a child, and then early 90's alternative as a teenager, Paul's range of influences is all over the spectrum.
A young new artist from New York City, his music falls somewhere between rock, pop, and singer/songwriter, creating a style that is different than anything out there. Imagine John Mayer meeting the Foo Fighters-- he's like the guy at the party with an acoustic guitar, except he is plugged in through a huge amp and jumps around a lot.
On his new album, Cycles, Paul plays all the instruments himself, and he recorded and produced it in a homemade studio. The album takes the listener on a journey through a relationship, starting with the pulsing beat of A Love Like This, long distance love in The Atlantic, then into rough patches in the rock anthem Say You Won't Leave, and deep reflection in the title track, Cycles. It was a project of labor and love, and the response has been amazing on iTunes, MySpace, and YouTube.
